About Kathryn
Kathryn is a warm, understanding and compassionate clinical psychologist who utilises a tailored, strength-based and collaborative approach to therapy. Kathryn is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA) and holds an endorsement in Clinical Psychology. She holds a Masters of Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Psychological Science. During her post-graduate studies she completed placements in the education and health settings.
In her practice Kathryn draws on a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Modalities, Mindfulness, and Schema Therapy. She currently works with adult clients who wish to address a broad array of challenges, including: depression, anxiety (generalised anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobia, health anxiety, panic disorder, separation anxiety), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), emotion regulation difficulties, grief and bereavement, adjustment to major life changes, stress management, self-esteem, sleep difficulties, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, and family of origin complexities.

Our Services
Face to Face Talk Therapy
Kathryn currently offers face to face therapy from her rooms in Greenslopes. Current clinic hours are Mondays & Tuesdays 10am to 4:30pm.
Telehealth (Phone and Videoconferencing)
Kathryn also offers therapy sessions via phone and video-link. These sessions are offered on Mondays & Tuesdays from 10am to 4:30pm, and on Fridays from 10am to 2pm.
Letters and Reports
Medicare reports required as part of a standard course of treatment under a MHCP do not attract an additional fee. Requests for letters and reports outside of these will be considered at Kathryn’s discretion and will attract an additional fee.
Fees
Standard session appointments (both face-to-face and telehealth) are 50 minutes in length with a fee of $240. Please note that this is below the Australian Psychological Society recommended service fee of $311.
Medicare Rebates
A Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP will allow you to claim a rebate of $141.85 for 10 psychological sessions each calendar year. Please follow up with your GP if you would like to be referred to Kathryn under a MHCP.
Chronic Disease Management Plan
A valid Chronic Disease Management Plan from your GP may allow you to access a rebate of $60.35 for a total of 5 sessions per calendar year. Please follow up with your GP if you would like to know more about your eligibility for a Chronic Disease Management Plan.
Private Health Insurance
If you hold private health insurance you may be eligible for a rebate on the cost of sessions through your insurance fund. Please speak with your insurer to determine your eligibility. Please note that any associated rebates will need to be claimed directly from your insurer.
Bulk Billing & Third Party
The clinic is currently unable to offer bulk-billing services. At this time the clinic is also unable to process third-party funding, however we can issue you with an invoice if you wish to make a claim directly to a third-party funding organisation.
Late Cancellation Fees
The clinic respectfully asks for at least 48 hours notice of a cancellation. There is a significant demand for services, and this notice period allows us to offer the appointment to another person. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours will attract a 100% cancellation fee. Please note that Medicare and private health rebates cannot be applied to cancellation fees.
